How it Works

Step 1

Initial Consult

Let's have a free 20 minute virtual consultation to see if we're a good fit for each other! You can ask any questions you may have about the process or my services, and together we'll talk about your taste, vision, skill set with florals, and budget.

Step 2

Once I have a good idea about what you want I can issue you a quote. Typically I charge 10-20% of the budget for whatever I'm advising you on, based on the complexity. For example if you only want to DIY your own bouquets and have a florist do all of your ceremony and reception arrangements, I would charge you a percentage of whatever you've set aside for the bouquets.

Step 3

Plan & Design

After I have received your 50% deposit I will begin the planning and design process. This typically takes 2-3 weeks, although if you're in a jam and need something sooner I would be happy to accommodate you.

I will browse your Pinterest boards and review any inspiration pics you've sent me along with the details of your venue and I'll do my best to provide you with something you'll LOVE, made just for you, at a budget-friendly price.

I'm confident that I can get you what you envision within your budget--within reason, of course. I'll also be sure to take your skill level into consideration, as should you when you're doing all of your envisioning! :)

I will then send you the initial plan, which consists of:

• floral recommendations broken down by type of arrangement, plus several "alternates";

• reference photos of all the blooms I'm recommending;

• financial analysis for the total cost & any discounts or promo codes I've found for you;

• vendor recommendations; and

• special instructions for containers or additional equipment you may need.

I will also send you my basic prep checklists & how-to documents.

Step 4

Discussion & Review

After reviewing the plan I have submitted we'll have a call or video chat to discuss your thoughts and any changes you'd like to make. If you do have changes, I will re-work the plan to reflect the adjustments and send it back to you.

Please note that there may be additional charges if we undergo multiple reviews or if there are dramatic changes in design or theme. All of this, of course, will be discussed with you before any charges are assessed. My goal is to help you.

Step 5

Ordering & Execution

It's time! I'll help you place the order for your flowers no less than one to two months before your event, though I strongly recommend three to six months in advance if possible.

Since flowers are living creatures subject to weather conditions, if for any reason one of the posies we've decided on is no longer available I will help you determine a similar alternate.

I will provide you a set of documents that will walk you through how to handle the flowers once they arrive, the equipment you'll need to have set up, and how to prepare them properly. I will also send you a set of basic guidelines for putting together the arrangements we've discussed based on your vision and skill level. After that, it's up to you to do it yourself!

I will also be available to you by phone if you have difficulties during the arranging process.

Are you ready? Okay, let's get started!
